in game muting GW and the ability to ping the skills which hit you
In game muting: I would really like this as I often either listens to music or is on vent. But if I'm not listening to music, I normally have the GW music turned on, because it makes the gaming experience alot better. But sometimes, someone is talking to me on vent and I cant here what it is due to the GW music/sfx. And sometimes, I'm in the middle of a battle so going into options and lowering all 4 sfx to 0 is quite annoying. We got the 'reset'-button, now we just need a 'mute'-button.
Ping damage: as a monk in RA, it happens that I get interrupted, KD'd while Balanced Stance is recharging, diverted and all that other shut-down. If it happens too often, I'm called a bad monk. It would really be a help for me, if I could ping all those skills(from that horizontal bar on the left), which have hit m, me, so my party could see how I was shut down.
Thank you

Ever heard of options and a thing called volume settings?
F11 says hi.
Second things isn't possible, but you can always just target the bugger that's annoying you and call what he's using to let people know what's shitting on you.

If you honestly care about what other people in RA think of you.... Then stop caring? It's very simple. This is why it's best to set to DnD and turn your local and team chat off while RA'ing if you're a monk.
That, or, get thicker skin. No offense... But really... C'mon...

werd. Only the truth hurts, either that or you are insecure about your monking. If you make mistakes try to learn from them. Schit happens lol.
Just an example: Lets say you got knocklocked during balance stance downtime, veil drained while you are on your ass and shame + diversion chain when you are back on your feet during which time an mb fire ele is spamming spells on you in 40/40 and there isn't much you can do about it but die. If you are being called a bad monk in these situations just laugh it off.
Your teammates had a poor vision of the game that's all, so they spout out ignorant crap to divert the blame from themselves. Truth is most of the time it's their fault. Most good monks fall to situations like these because they have poor teammates who have terrible positioning and don't pressure or lineback well enough to spare you from being 4v1 raped. No need for a damage monitor ping to justify how you died. If your teammates were any good and had a decent vision of the game they'd already know how you died.
It's Random Arena, don't take it to heart champ

The problem here is stupid people, not skill pinging. I accept this as just one of the downfalls of RA. If you want to PvP as a Monk don't RA. I don't think pinging will help (idiots will still blame you, regardless).

I would also like this, it would be extremely useful to alert my teammates to what tactics the enemy team is using.

This auto wins simply because it is the truth. People are narrow minded. If they can't see for themselves by simply watching the battlefield of what was happening/being put on you then they aren't worth your time to taking offense towards.

Why is everyone against the mute function? I actually like that idea. Not that necessary... true... but it wouldn't hurt anyone, and some of us would even like it.
And Kedde if you read the OP properly you'd know that he does know about F11...
about the ping skill thing... I dunno... I wouldn't mind it added... but I can do just fine without.

There are a lot of suggestions that aren't that necessary nor hurt anyone and some people would actually like, but that doesn't mean they should be implemented. Part of the reasoning could be the rather small GW Live Team.

Turning down the volume in options works fine.
